Say goodbye to the Focus On banners. They will be going away. Our data shows that the banner destinations were almost never arrived at through the banners. If users aren’t using them, that makes them basically, well, useless. We thought they were a great idea (way back when…sigh).
So, where do we go from here? Why to the News and Events section!
The newly-combined News and Events section will be the place to go for things going on at Buffalo State. This page will house features from:

I disagree with this completely, and I know that many student will agree with me. Your research may show that they are not utilized because they are only needed by the student body during registration periods (e.g. Banner, Degree Navigator). I check my e-mail everyday using the Student E-Mail banner, and I have 3 classes that utilize Angel.
I believe that it takes way to long to access those programs, going through a maze of 4-6 webpages before reaching the final destination of my Banner, Degree Navigator, E-Mail, and Angel accounts, while the current website has a link the goes directly to those programs.
On the new website all of the banners make the wesite easier to navigate for prospective students, which I agree with. But I think that Alumni banner and Giving banner need to be condensed to make room for a Student banner that should include the following: MyBuffState, Student E-mail, Angel, Banner, Degree Navigator, Athletics, and Butler Library.
Students use the website on a daily basis, so it needs to be user-friendly for the people that use the website the most.
