The Council of Fashion Designers of America, Inc. is a not-for-profit association. This features over 300 of America’s fashion and accessory designers. The CFDA was established in 1962 and has been going strong. This is the fourth year for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award. This is a very prestigious award in the fashion industry. Upon winning this award $100,000 is awarded along with a year long mentorship from a top fashion industry executive. Last month I had the privilege to see Rogan Gregory in person as a guest speaker at Teen Vogue Fashion U in NYC. He is such a very genuine and down to earth guy, he even brought his parents to hear him speak. He has so many projects going on he really deserved this award. He is quite busy with his three lines Rogan, Edun, Loomstate.

Erin Fetherston
One of the hottest new designers is Erin Fetherston, who is debuting her line at Target this month with Go International.

I had the privilege of hearing her speak in New York City a couple of weeks ago and I got to see a sneak preview of her new collection debuting at Target later this month. I really like the look of Erin Fetherston she is living in Paris and this is where she is getting all of her inspiration. Black and white is the main use of colors she uses throughout her collection since they are simply classic. She has many great party dresses which our great for the upcoming holiday season. She has many dresses, skirts, and jackets displayed with ruffles, peter pan collars, and many embellishments to really add to her pieces.

They are very delicate, feminine, and appealing. I really admire her Parisian style of clothing and I think many others will as well. Her use of hearts is very appealing and the way she uses them in collection such as her giant heart tote bag, scarves with hearts at the ends, and even a heart necklace. Her collection is what many people are talking about and I can’t wait until it debuts later this month. I hope everyone will check it out in their local Target.
