Spring/Summer 2007 Las Vegas T-shirt graphics trade show overview

I love the artistry that can be involved in T-shirt graphics. You can practically walk around with a genuine piece of artwork on what you are wearing. Exclusive independent t-shirt designers are very unique and when you support them by buying one of their designs, you really have an original, something that you know rarely, if any one, will own the one you have got. Here are some current trend setting t-shirt graphic designs I found on wgsn-edu.com, these designs were showcased at a trade show in Las Vegas back in August of last year. The following designs were ones I found of specific interest and they were a preview for spring/summer 2007.

Trends from the Catwalk, Fall 2007

Seeing as we’re just entering the gorgeous season of Fall (Autumn for all you internationals) here are some of the predicted trends:

Metallics have appeared in many forms, from gold lamé craziness at Victor & Rolf to shimmering minidresses at Yves Saint Laurent. Possibly best in Marc Jacob’s sequined shoes. Also, roughened metallics adorned leather biker looks for men.

Volume is contrasting, from an inevitable shift towards man-style wide legged pants to the sleek 60s minimalism. Nicolas Ghesquiére at Balenciaga is quite the designer of the moment and is championing this trend.

College layering is particularly pertinent (for the boys) and was seen on many a model sent down the runway for Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Burberry and Prada. Hoods were seen everywhere for both sexes on knits, jackets, coats and dresses.

Length (this one’s for the girls) is either thigh grazing or floor sweeping. Take your pick. And make sure to wear warm tights. See Chanel, Michael Kors and Olivier Theyskens for Rochas.

Prints and plaids. Animal print of the big cat variety and your very best Scottish tartan. Shown by Vivienne Westwood, Roland Mouret, Alex McQueen and Diane von Furstenberg.
