I think that if you are planning on visiting NYC you should definately stop by the FIT museum. There are two great exhibits coming up. From March 13 until April 21 they will be showing the Lilly Dache: Glamour at the Drop of a Hat exhibit. She was a famous celebrity hat designers from the 1930’s and 40’s.
The other exhibit, Luxury, begins May 23 and goes through November 10. This is to show the change in luxury throughout the history of fashion. The exhibit features clothing and accessories from the 18th century to present. It will feature couture items from Chanel, Dior, Balenciaga, etc. It will also feature accessories from designers such as Hermes, Lanvin and Chanel. This will be an amazing exhibit featuring some of the most well known designers.
