Fall Make-up

With so much being said about trends and clothing I thought I would flip the switch and discuss beauty for a change. I mentioned earlier in a blog that I am a major product junkie, if something new comes out I run to get it, sounds crazy but I guess that is just how I am. Anyways, after viewing the make-up shown on the fall runways, many designers have decided to keep it very low-key. For example, the look at Diane von Furstenburg was inspired by Diane herself, very confident, deliberate, and independent. The models shown seemed very plain with only 1 facial feature being highlighted. Another example of this was Gucci Westman for Proenza Schouler creating a very dense, full brow. She described it as a super clean face and how “the boys always love a brow”. Still, my favorite look that I have yet to learn how to do so if anyone has some tips for me I will greatly appreciate it is the smokey eye. It has become outrageously popular since it’s introduction into the beauty world, it has created a look for so many women that can be taken from day to night. I think it is still in style because it can be done without using your basic black, such a brown or maybe even a deep violet. The only place I saw it on the models for fall was at Oscar de la Renta done by Pat McGrath. McGrath also does the looks behind CoverGirl, in case you wanted to know. In all, the look for fall will be a minimalist approach, fresh and clean yet sophisticated so my advice is to play around with make-up because it is one of the best parts of being a girl.
