Don’t Fall For the Hype

Everyone seems to be talking about this not-so-hot bag.

Karl Lagerfeld recently announced Chanel’s unveiling of a new line of bags and accessories under the label Chanel Unlimited.
The bags are made of a “glossy gray canvas material.” [think about all the money these will sell for —- and they’re canvas]

The collection will include hobos, clutches, mini and maxi bags, even a large garment bag littered with words like “Coco,” “Paris,” “31 Rue Cambon,” and “Chanel” … all in this same “glossy gray canvas material”. [ like a more expensive LeSportsac]

I have no idea why people are going crazy over this. The bag looks nothing but regular and almost ugly —- just because it says Chanel doesn’t make it worth purchasing.

No record on the price point, but let it be known that i will laugh at people who spend money on this crap.

oh boy!

However, if you want a cute bag… check the rest of the blog entry!

L.A.M.B. Hook Tote Bag - $645
Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. line has always been a favorite of mine. This bag reminds me of old school glamour in it's shape. The mix of textures, the quilted body of the bag with the leather insets gives the bag some life. The gold hardware and the white stripe that adorns the front of the bag bring the synergy of the bag to it's zenith. It also has gold feet so that when the bag sits on the floor it won't damage the leather. Yet another timeless piece.

Okay... so now back to reality:
Check out my two fave bags ever!

Nine West Snake Break Large Tote - $99
Animal prints are always a fashionable look and this tote by Nine West is no different. The satchel design of the bag sets it apart from the average tote and the structure of the bag allows it to be worn in the crook of your arm or on the shoulder.

Northern Exposure Tote by O'Neill - $46
It's reminiscent of a Miu Miu design I've seen before but Miu Miu on a budget isn't a bad thing for the fashionista on a budget. The woven design on the front of the bag adds character to this bag and makes it more than perfect for arm candy this fall.

That is truly sad. There are a lot of stores there that seemed as though they would never fail.
